20+ Years in the making…
The Theater of Marketing (tToM) is the passion project of me, Misty Megia, combining my passions for marketing, public speaking, education and theatre in one spot. (Waving hi.)
It took me a while to realize the crossover of my varied careers, experience, and creative thinking and how it all stemmed from my training in theatre and education. Once I had that “aha!” moment, I began to determine how I could help others grow professionally and personally with the skills I have developed over the last 20 years. Most recently, I helped a small, family-owned business sell as a multi-million dollar global company, and the happy previous owners immediately left for a six-month sabbatical in Hawaii.
From global public speaking to marketing strategy to team training, I can help you build a strong and unique public persona. With the help of my other half, who has over 20 years of Market Research experience, and multiple contributors, we can bring together a strong, cross-functional team to showcase your product/services and personal brand in just the right way to resonate with your audience.
Misty Megia (@MistyMegia) is a business strategist extraordinaire. With over 20 years experience in market strategy, project management, public speaking, corporate branding and channel marketing, Misty has driven success for multiple companies across a variety of industries including hardware manufacturing, software development, green energy, education and more.
Misty’s powerful methods have positioned her as a leader in her field and helped businesses create new revenue streams, develop their brand, streamline operations and bring a fresh eye to the company. Most recently, she worked with established thought-leader Doug Sleeter as Executive Director for The Sleeter Group where she managed the day-to-day operations of the company. In this position, Misty established strong strategic partnerships to build on the trusted brand of The Sleeter Group. After three short years working with the accounting industry, Misty was honored as one of the Most Powerful Women in Accounting by CPA Practice Advisor.
In her other life, Misty is a performer, director, and choreographer of professional and regional theater. She loves bringing that knowledge to the business world and often incorporates it in speaker training for those who want to elevate their public engagements from an ordinary speech to an experience without the drama.
Jeannie Ruesch (@jeannieruesch) is a unicorn when it comes to marketing. She is a rare breed who can tell a complete story with an image, drive sales with a clever phrase, and develop a campaign that garners attention beyond a company’s current reach. With over 20 years of brand creation and management, design, lead generation and outstandingly successful marketing campaigns, Jeannie has taken companies perceived as local businesses to attention-grabbing global brands.
Her award winning design has graced the covers of several books, global thought leaders keynote presentations, album covers, websites, and multiple magazines, and has provided integral pieces of solid brand strategies and execution for companies across industries from education to technology. In July, Jeannie started a new adventure with Xero, where she works in their Partner Marketing Group.
When Jeannie is not at her day job, you will find her writing her next suspense novel (5!) or working on client projects for tTom. She lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband David, son Connor and their dog.
Stefanie Redmond is a marketing story teller. She specializes in submerging herself in a brand and telling its story to different audiences through websites, social media, and email marketing. She found her passion for Marketing at the University of Texas at Arlington where she earned a degree in Advertising. Since college, her love for marketing has flourished, and she uses her passion for learning new things (especially about technology) to stay at the forefront of social media and digital marketing technology. Stefanie approaches marketing as if it were an acting job. When presented with a brand “script,” she is able to seamlessly embody the brand persona and creatively elevate and expand the brand voice to drive audience interaction.
When she’s not glued to a computer screen, you will find her at the yoga studio, or traveling the world with husband and golden retriever in tow.
