I don’t know about you but one of my life goals is to be supremely confident. Like – I’m talking Rihanna confident.

As writer Calissa Kirilenko explains in “The Every Girl,” Rihanna has broken down barriers in beauty, fashion, music, and now maternity style—she isn’t afraid to make a name for herself in everything she does, with a confidence that is hard to match. But confidence is a muscle built overtime. So how did she do it? Last week I posted 4 Rihanna quotes that give us the answer.

But my favorite of the 4 Riri quotes is, “The biggest mistake you can make is to compare yourself with someone else.” Rihanna explains she wants to “encourage girls and women to respect their uniqueness.”

I mean, if Rihanna wants us all to shine bright like a diamond, then we must!

She is absolutely right though. Confidence looks different on each of us. Our diamonds glisten each with their unique glow!

And like our diamonds, our creative processes are equally unique. When I first started working on my confidence as a speaker, I found it challenging to figure out what exactly I wanted to say. I would change my presentation multiple times and those shifts would undermine my confidence – it took much more time than I intended it to.
