What happens when you are called to do something risky and new?
Do you allow your internal imposter syndrome to talk you out of it or do you step up knowing everything is figureoutable?
Well, I have the opportunity to do something that equally scares and excites me, and I want you to be the first to know (Outside of my Theatre of Public Speaking Society Sisters )
A year ago, our Executive Director led the way by auditioning for a lead in a movie. Now, she has been on stages all across the US, but a movie was something brand new to her. She was up against equity actresses and nailed the audition. She got the LEAD!!!!
The director is an award winning documentarian and a phenomenal activist and human. I was over the moon for Krista with this collaboration! In this movie, she will be portraying a young musician searching to find her voice again after her father passes.
Well, if you know me, then you know this movie is right up my alley. A young woman finding her voice and music! Where can I buy my ticket or what streaming service will it be on???
My dear friends, this movie has quickly become something more outstanding than I could have imagined. On top of the young woman finding her voice, it’s going to shed light on the Armenian culture and community. To be at the fundraiser for this event and see how much it meant to every human in that room to have something on the screen that reflects them, their family, the love they have for each other, and THE FOOD ❤️. It was contagious. I became an Armenian by Choice
It’s the right message with the right humans involved, shining light on a group that has yet to see this type of representation in film. I’m all about helping others be seen, and this is an opportunity to do just that!
I want to share this moment with you. I want you to meet the leads. I want you to hear from the director and get a behind the scenes peek about the film because our wins are yours!
Plus, I can’t wait to share the scary and exciting opportunity the Director has offered me. Spoiler Alert: I said “Yes”
